Step 2: Sub-GLN Assignment (optional)
Producers have the option to acquire their own GLN from their national GS1 organization, which has the capacity to generate Sub-GLNs. These Sub-GLNs can then be used to uniquely identify the PMUs and PHUs.
A 13-digit number that is issued by the GS1 organization. This organization also has the capacity to generate Sub-GLNs, which also consist of 13 digits.
