GLOBALG.A.P. Status in Transaction Documents

Producers shall make sure that all transaction documents that are used in communication with direct clients indicate the certification status information "GLOBALG.A.P. certified/not certified". If a producer has been suspended or the certificate has expired, the producer may no longer include "GLOBALG.A.P. certified" in these transaction documents until he has been certified again or the suspension has been lifted – therefore it must always be a “live” or current action.

This is a requirement for all GLOBALG.A.P. producers, regardless of whether they are operating under Parallel Production (PP) / Parallel Ownership (PO) or not. (AF 10.1)

GLOBALG.A.P. Status in Transaction Documents
Transaction documents include but are not limited to:
  • sales invoices
  • delivery notes
Question (QQAF053)
A producer refuses to show his transaction documents to the CB inspector. He argues that he has been certified for many years and that none of the inspectors have ever requested to see any transaction documents. These documents contain confidential information and he doesn’t understand why this is important, as the purpose of certification is to check whether he is producing his products according to Good Agricultural Practices. Can the producer still be certified?
Yes
No
Question (QQAF054)
Does the producer specifically have to state “Not GLOBALG.A.P. certified” on the transaction documents to comply with AF.10.1?
Yes
No
Question (QQAF055)
A producer could not certify his product because he was unable to comply with CB.8.1.2 due to minor use issues. However, the certification body issued a Letter of Non-Compliance as this is the only clause the producer did not comply with. This producer still writes “GLOBALG.A.P. certified” on all his delivery notes because he receives his GLOBALG.A.P. inspection annually and to comply with CB.8.1.2 is out of his control. Is this allowed?
Yes
No
Correct!
Incorrect!

The producer cannot be certified if he refuses to show the inspector the transaction documents that indicate the status of the produce (GLOBALG.A.P. certified or not) sold to his direct clients. This is a Major Must requirement. Transaction documents (delivery notes, invoices, etc.) are also very important and helpful:

  1. To check traceability (CB.1.1).
  2. To verify the legal entity that placed the product on the market.
  3. As a tool to observe pre-harvest intervals.
Correct!
Incorrect!

The producer is not required to put “not certified” on the transaction documents. However, he must put “GLOBALG.A.P. certified” on the certified produce.

Correct!
Incorrect!

The producer is only allowed to include “GLOBALG.A.P. certified” on transaction documents when his current produce is GLOBALG.A.P. certified.
