In this example, we take a look at a producer with Parallel Production.

Please use the arrows to navigate up and down.

Throughtout this course, we always use this house icon to symbolize a producer.

All producers are displayed in this way, regardless of whether they have a certified production process or not.

We use colors to distinguish between different producers.

GLOBALG.A.P. certified production processes are always symbolized using a product picture in a black circle.

The crossed out version of this symbol is then used to depict non-certified production processes.

Producer 'Orange' is a vegetable farmer with two different production processes. While carrots are produced in a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process, onions are not.

However, this is not a case of Parallel Production, as the certified and non-certified processes involve different products.

The producer only becomes a Parallel Producer when the same product is produced partly in a certified and partly in a non-certified production process.

Producer 'Orange' turns into a Parallel Carrot Producer when the production includes non-certified carrots in addition to the certified carrots.

This producer is a vegetable farmer with two different production processes.

While carrots are produced in a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process, onions aren't.

This situation is however not to be confused with Parallel Production.
