In this example, we take a look at a producer with Parallel Ownership.

Please use the arrows to navigate up and down.

Producer 'Blue' grows carrots in a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process.

In addition to his own carrot production, producer 'Blue' also buys carrots from producer ‘Purple’ who runs a non-certified production process.

Producer 'Blue' is now a Parallel Carrot Owner as he has carrots from his own certified production process and sourced non-certified carrots produced by another legal entity.

This producer is a vegetable farmer with two different production processes.

While carrots are produced in a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process, onions aren't.

This situation is however not to be considered as Parallel Production.

The producer only becomes a Parallel Producer when the same product is produced partly in a certified and partly in a non-certified production process.

In this example, producer 'Summer' is a Parallel Carrot Producer.

This producer is a vegetable farmer with two different production processes.

While carrots are produced in a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process, onions aren't.

This situation is however not to be confused with Parallel Production.
